The Rant Page

I am: Hal Clement (Harry C. Stubbs) A quiet and underrated master of "hard science" fiction who, among other things, foresaw integrated circuits back in the 1940s.

Which science fiction writer are you?

I haven't read anything by him. I think I'll start.

Ladies and Gentlemen, for your entertainment and amusement, I present to you--
The Macy's Day Parade.

Give me one:
Book you think I should read....

Song I should listen to....

Movie i should see....

Thing I should try...

Place I should visit....

You can only suggest it if you have done it. What is the best you've found that I might not have discovered yet??

I totally fan-girl over the most non-mainstream people. I could give a shit about super big stars like Brad Pitt or J.Lo-- it's the semi-big ones who don't make a big deal out of it that intrigue me. People like Randall Monroe (who was wicked cool, btw) and Breckin Meyer (who I met on Venice Beach a million years ago).

So, I started to wonder: if you could hang out, just for a day, with any B-list actor or underground/unknown/cult celebrity, who would it be?

Mine is easy. John Trudell

Picture meme from twiggles_1:

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Post a picture (or link to it) in my comments of what you think describes me when you think about what/who I am.

Give no written explanation though. Just an image.
Macros are ok :) (Within reason!!)

Copy and paste into your own journal and see what others think about you in pictures!

More on my weekend from hell later.

Gill has asked me to change my "mood" from "cranky" to "excited". I said, "Excited for what?" She said, "For hanging out with the girls' mom [Melissa] tomorrow". So, while I am cranky, I will also be artificially excited tonight.

Stolen shamelessly from miashell...
Tell me story, a secret, a confession, a fear, a love - anything. Post honestly. Post twice if you'd like... hell, however many times you want. Comments are screened, and will remain so.

Then put this in your LJ to see what your friends have to say.

Take the first letter from your first name, and fill out the following (try to use different answers if you share the letter with the person you got the meme from):

Everyone has things they blog about.

Everyone has things they don't blog about.

Challenge me out of my comfort zone by asking me about something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on lima beans, favorite type of underwear, favorite classical artist, etc.

Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other! I promise I'll answer the questions publically.
