Sep. 12th, 2006 05:37 pmSo I went to the recruiter today, to get weighed and taped and see what my body fat percentage is. I went in fairly confident, knowing (give-or-take) what to expect.
Or not.
I thought I was going to be over tape by about 6-8% (they allow 34%, I knew I was between 40-42%). Upon putting the measurements into the little computer, I found that I am actually over tape by 2.79%, putting me far closer to being able to reenlist than I had thought.
On the down side, I won't be able to get in soon enough to scoop up an Intel slot, which means I would have to come back in as an MP. This also means, I would be going back to my old unit (143d MP Co), and most likely be deployed within the next 2-3 years. Something about that doesn't scare me.
However, let us not put our cart before our horse, eh? I still have another 25 lbs to lose if I want to make weight, or about 15 if I want to make tape. I'm getting there. I just haven't arrived yet.
