"John Weikle, founder of Skybus, has announced he is working on a plan to revive the bankrupt airline. Weikle has stated he has put together a team to examine the possible reorganization and restart of the airline. Weikle stated he planned to use $10 million the airline had left in its treasury at the time of its demise to attract new investors. Little more is known at this time, but Skybus owed its creditors in excess of its $10 million cash on hand."

In August 2008, Weikle acknowledged interest in Springfield, Ohio as a site for a startup airline that would draw passengers from nearby Dayton and Columbus. [28]"

These guys were the best and worst thing to happen to Barfleet since the invention of the YT. $50 flights to Columbus (home of many Fleet events, for you non-members) from Chicopee, MA (which is like 20 minutes from my house). Yes, there were fewer amenities, and yes, the terminals were ghetto. But, seriously. $50 for a round-trip flight. It was totally worth it, and I never got to take advantage of it because gas shot up to $5/gallon and they declared Chapter 11 less than a year after opening their doors.

Don't tease me, SkyBus. Don't do it.
